Week 1 Session Notes

Dose Liver

It does have synthetic products:

  • Citric Acid: not from actual food but fermented from sugar using mold. Then they us this to make the other two below, both which are Zero Natural

  • Potassium Citrate: made from Citric Acid above and Potassium Hydroxide (this product does not occur in nature, purely synthetic)

  • Sodium Citrate: made from Citric Acid above and Sodium Hydroxide (this product does not occur in nature, purely synthetic)

Although Citric Acid does come from citric food, commercial companies will not use it that way because first it is very expensive, and second the shelf life is not as long as synthetic ones.

Also this product does include “Natural Flavors”, is allows them to legally use hundreds of products that are actually highly processed and chemically altered, not to mention very refined.

Lastly: We do not need a “a daily” liver cleanse or even “2-3 times” a week liver cleanse, unless you are drinking bottles of alcohol and taking tons of medicine daily. The liver cleanses it self, it is an active organ, so it doesn’t really need a cleanse, but rather support.

My suggestion, since you are taking that Energy Drink, I would not take Dose Liver, and if you really want to take it, I would maybe take it as a seasonal or monthly thing.

What you see when companies market as liver detox/cleanse is pure marketing.

Suggested Supplement

What you can do if you want some type of a cleanse is the Triphala I suggested to you, which there is a link for it,

Triphala : (this is meant to be used no more than 3-7 days, depending on how you feel after day 2 and what you need)

  • start slowly: 1/4 teaspoon in 8-10 ounces of warm water and you drink it like a tea, before bed, at least 2-3 after a meal.

  • if you feel okay, then you can do 1/2 teaspoon.

  • I have also given you tablet option in case you want something easier.

Please note that Triphala is not taken for long term use, you can do it either monthly or seasonally, and if you have questions about this, we can discuss it during our next session.

Things to remember from week 1

  1. Try to give a little more time between breakfast and lunch, or

  2. East a smaller breakfast: two boiled eggs with half of an avocado, dates filled with almond butter/tahini, yogurt with nuts.

  3. Try to make dinners smaller or lighter, soups are great options for dinner time.

  4. If eating complex protein for dinner (read meat, fish, chicken) then have a smaller portion compared to lunch.

  5. Lunch should be your biggest meal

  6. Make sure you are seated and calm when eating and treat eating like a ritual, give it your proper time.

Please check out the Supplements and Recipe links, I have shared with you links for Triphala, as well as the recipe links for the Date Truffle Balls, and Banana Bread.
